John Evershed FRS​ (26 de febrero de 1864 - 17 de noviembre de 1956) fue un astrónomo inglés, el primero en observar movimientos radiales en las manchas solares, un fenómeno conocido como efecto Evershed.

Mary Acworth Evershed (née Orr; 1 January 1867 – 25 October 1949) was a British astronomer and scholar. Her work on Dante Alighieri was written under the pen name M.A. Orr.
