Murad V (21 de septiembre de 1840-29 de agosto de 1904) fue un sultán del Imperio otomano, reinó desde el 30 de mayo hasta el 31 de agosto de 1876.

Hijo del sultán Abdülmecid I, fue entronizado después de que su tío, el sultán Abdülaziz I, fuera depuesto de su cargo. Fue altamente influido por la cultura francesa. Reinó por 93 días antes de ser también depuesto, debido a una enfermedad mental, y fue sucedido por su hermano, el sultán Abdülhamid II. Falló al entregar la Constitución que habían buscado sus simpatizantes, y bajo su reinado el país estuvo cada vez más a la guerra con el Imperio ruso, que finalmente se concretó al año siguiente (Guerra Ruso-Turca de 1877 a 1878).
